“He” did a project in my block in Brooklyn. Someone (not JR) took portraits of people who happened to walk by, and a group (not JR) pasted them up on two garage doors. It was a neat idea but I thought it was funny that everyone kept talking about some “famous” artist named JR who was not present for his own project.
Of course, none of us were as attractive as those in the NYC Ballet company (expect maybe some of the little kids), so it’s understandable that he didn’t bother to show up.

Look a little closer. A lot of what he does is empower other people to make the art.

In my opinion the biggest merit of JR it is the logistics to accomplish these amazing projects. Incredible…
