Every still photographer I know is struggling. But every still photographer I know that also does video is really busy. I love still photography. It’s the root of my whole career and I’m never going to abandon it. But it’s not enough by itself.

Very true.
Interesting conversation would be the reasons why? Is it because story is so important to stand out of the noise? Is video on a similar trend curve as photography but just trailing by a few years? Is it because video cameras don’t have a p-mode and there is less of the ‘I’ll shoot it myself?’ How sustainable is it?
Video has a higher cost of entry in skill and gear, and prices haven’t eroded as much.
