Uh-huh. Well, I still jerk off manually.

    Of course you do.

  2. OK, sorry for the smart ass reply. Just the first thing that popped into my head. hhahah

    Seriously, though, pretty fascinating stuff.

But then, I’ll go back and watch something like “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and see what really causes me to feel.

  3. Yep, mixed feelings.

Amazing post work. I can’t believe it will get any better than that, maybe easier to create when new and cheaper technology comes around.

As long as visuals don’t overpower the plot and the actor play, I am all for it :)

  4. more and more i am leaning towards movies that either don’t try so hard to hide the special effects or even better don’t need them at all. because every now and then a tiny hint will awake you from the dream and flash a big sign at you “THIS IS FAKE!” and spoil the experience in the theatre.
but maybe that’s just because i have done too much image editing not being able to ignore those tiny hints of fakeness.

  5. I saw the movie and I enjoyed it. I also read the book many years ago, a second hand copy, with worn pages and small type. The movie effects are fabulous because they had such a powerful human story to weave themselves around. The most amazing effects will always dazzle us. They just won’t be able to move us.

  6. Forget Plastics. Its fabrics. Blue. Green.

  7. I’m for anything that lets us tell amazing stories in new ways. Looks great and really adds to the decadent atmosphere. Plus just think how difficult/impossible pulling off the old streets of New York scenes would be without this.

  8. Wonderful effects. Too bad the movie completely sucked ass. Downton Abbey will gross more in revenue without resorting to stupid gimmicks.

Silly rabbit. Tricks are for kids!!
