Susan Carr, photographer, educator, writer and artist, passed away on September 3, 2012 at age 49. She had fought hard in her battle with cancer and carried on as ASMP’s Education Director until the very end.

  1. Condolences and well wishes to family and friends. There are times when it is hard to hear about someone succumbing to cancer as it seems to be the most sinister of diseases.

  2. Susan was an inspired soul.

    I only met her once a few years ago at one of her cross country tours for ASMP. She created at atmosphere of rapport and was full of life and on fire about the importance of copyright for photographers and eager to share her story and guidance. We corresponded a bit but then lost touch, and now I know why.

    Thanks for posting this. I think we should go out today and be on fire like Susan. Be eager to give and achieve and share our gifts like Susan Carr. I am glad I met her.

    I am sad to know that she left this world so soon.
