Love Dan’s portraits! Amazing talent

First thing I thought of: his portrait of Helen Mirren. Similar architecture. http://www.thefstopmag.com/wp-content/uploads/mirren_8x10.jpg
Jeff Singer
Yep!
Kiliii Fish
Agree. Classic Winters.

More is showing great work lately. This is a beautiful portrait by Dan.

“similar architecture”? It is the same set, just dressed differently. Both are beautifully produced, lit and directed portraits.
David
I don’t think so. One has a slanted roof, and the window placements are different. Not sure how to do that with just dressing.

According to the interview with Winters here, that Mirren set was custom-built for that shoot — probably wouldn’t take much to modify it.

Or take elements of it and build a new set. Winters is a master.

Crazy good. So well done. I love that he builds the sets custom for the portraits.
