If you want to work on your art, work on your life. All those personality traits that aren’t working for you will come back to haunt you in your career (i.e. assertiveness, fear of conflict, fear of confrontation.) It’s all connected.

What you think becomes your reality. I always had a belief that if I cleaned out my recycling bin in my studio I would get new work. And guess what, it always happened. If you think the industry is screwed and there is no work to be had, guess what you will find out there?

  1. I can’t remember who said it but it’s so true.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change”

    • @Murray, Dr. Wayne Dyer.

  2. think positive, it’s so easy to forget!

    thanks!

  3. Been working this myself of late, all reminders always welcome!

  4. I have two theories on this which basically agree with each other:

    1) Thinking positive does have an impact. It’s not easy to quantify, but it’s true and you can see and measuer the difference.

    2) If there are 100x too many people than needed that do a certain kind of work that you are looking for, and 25% of them are pretty good at thinking positive (cleaning out there recycling bin, etc.), then there’s still a pretty big gap that thinking positive alone doesn’t bridge.

  5. Your life can not exist with out you. The most improved you are, the most improved your life, relationships, art, existence.

    Thank you for the reminder.

    Peace.
