Clay Stang has a cool new feature on his website where where you can give him art direction from a pre-selected list of topics and he will execute the shot. Visit http://www.claystang.com and select “you call the shots.” I think it’s a very innovative way to show clients how you execute art direction. It’s also a little too realistic on the client side because selecting the shot by committee means we execute the “safe” shot.

very cool. but clay, i wish you took that consultant’s advice about toning down the website. it’s fun for us photographers to toy with but i still feel that your site gets in the way of your pictures…i’m not sure many photo directors have time to play that game (although rob is featuring it on this blog so what do i know?). it’s a neat little feature but i hope you spend some time thinking about how to find ways to draw out what really matters from the site: your pictures. best of luck to you!
